The Cosmic Squid

The Cosmic Squid is much more than a tattoo parlor. The other side of our shop functions as an art studio equipped for a variety of different materials. We support all types of art here, including but not limited to, sculpture, ceramics, painting, collage, photography, and other mixed media.

Our shop is located downtown, at the intersection of Spring and Mountain Streets. Our entrance is facing Mountain Street, however our building as a whole is located on Spring Street, on the right side of the post office. We are Suite #2, down the steps on the second floor of the building, directly beneath the White River Tobacco Shop.

When you enter, you'll be greeted by McKenna, our receptionist, or Joseph, the owner of the shop. Feel free to ask us any questions you might have about artist availability or pricing. You are also welcome to hang out and take a look around! Most of the artwork on the walls is done by Joseph, however we have a few other artists' work on display as well. We collect antiques, art books, and bugs and such, so there's plenty to look at.

We are a complete custom shop, so if you have an idea, bring it. Reference images are always a good start. We want our clients and other artists to feel welcome and free of judgement in our space. Joseph is very professional and easy to work with. If you are unsure of what you'd like to get, Joseph also has a number of original, hand-drawn, one-off designs for sale which are displayed on the wall in our lobby area. This means, if you decide one of these designs is for you, it is marked sold and the drawing will be removed from the wall. You can take a look at some of those artworks online by clicking here. We are open Friday - Tuesday starting at 11 AM each day. Walk-ins are first come, first serve. We look forward to meeting you!
